First time out this year with paints. I tread a fine line between enjoyment and frustration. I do want to enjoy this but I quite often feel like chucking the canvas during some (most) of the painting. I keep telling myself that patience is the key here- with each painting a little more experience is acquired so after a few thousand attempts I might start getting a feel for it.

A slow work day so time to bust out another painting. From a trip to Barcelona a couple of years ago.
I'm looking forward to getting outside and painting in the elements.

I'm sneaking in a couple of paintings into my photoblog. My photography's been somewhat stagnant for the last couple of months so I thought I'd throw in a few recent painting studies.

We've put it off for many years but the time has finally come to jump in and join the reno club. We kept waiting for the kitchen look of the 1980's to make a huge design comeback but to no avail.
So now we're knee deep in construction dust with one remaining usable sink left. My wife and I are really excited and looking forward to the finished results but for now we're in the "renovation hell"
part of the project. We've long run out of take out food ideas.
